Individual Counseling
Often times, individuals seek counseling in order to work on specific struggles that hinder their quality of life; struggles such as depression, eating disorders, the effects of childhood sexual or physical abuse, compulsive behaviors, gender confusion, relational problems, or other personal concerns.
Couples Counseling:
Premarital Counseling — Couples who are planning on marriage seek premarital counseling for a variety of reasons. Some couples want to better understand issues of compatibility, individual strengths and weaknesses each partner brings to the relationship, communication and relational styles, and personality differences. Other couples have specific concerns they want to address before marriage.
Marriage Counseling — Couples generally choose to enter marriage counseling in order to work on pressing problems in the marital relationship that either robs of satisfaction, joy, and closeness, and/or that threaten the foundation of the marriage.
Family Counseling
When issues are best addressed between family members, family counseling is a good venue.
Group Counseling
Groups can be powerful instruments for change. They allow a person to learn not only about themselves, but about how they relate to others in a "live" setting. Groups allow a person to practice what it means to be in relationship by giving and receiving help, feedback, and encouragement from others. Several types of therapy groups are offered at Drennan & Associates Christian Counseling. Please check with our office to see which groups are currently available.
Spiritual Mentoring/Coaching
Individuals who choose to take advantage of this are interested in focusing intently on transformation, spiritual maturity, and life with Christ.
Life Coaching — The focus of life coaching is on personal growth and improvement. Consider life coaching if you are functioning well, but want to overcome obstacles that keep you from greater fulfillment.
Prayer Ministry
God partners with us through prayer to accomplish His will in our lives. Prayer ministry has a very rich tradition in the church historically and can be a powerful venue for change. We offer this opportunity for those individuals who are more comfortable with a concentrated focus on prayer.
