Pam Drennan
MA, MS, LPC, LPC Supervisor

When I became a Christian, my relationship with God immediately began to change the way I perceived people. This eventually led me to a dual vocation as counselor and teacher. I partner with people in a way that facilitates healing and change by cultivating a hunger for growth and a hope that life can be different. Hunger and hope are the medium for change. In this context, I guide, teach, challenge, listen to and pray with/for my clients.
I have counseled for 19 years, facilitating groups and working with adolescents and adults who present various concerns – problems such as unwanted same sex attraction, addictions, parent/child issues, childhood sexual and physical abuse, and gender issues.
I also often function as spiritual mentor and coach. True growth and healing result in transformation that occurs in the context of encountering the Trinity. We are made whole as we come to know God’s heart in the context of an intimate relationship with Him. I facilitate this through various means such as theophostic and other forms of inner healing prayer, contemplative prayer, and assigned readings pertinent to the individual’s spiritual growth.
Prior to my seminary study, I directed the Women’s Ministries for AIM, an organization dedicate to helping men and women shed their gay/lesbian identity and lifestyle to follow Christ. After seminary, I worked at the Marble Falls Family Crisis Center where I worked extensively with individuals caught in the cycle of domestic violence. I was also a counselor on staff with Incest Recovery Association where I facilitated numerous groups and helped individuals work through the aftermath of childhood sexual abuse. Before opening Drennan & Associates Christian Counseling Center, I was on staff with Center for Biblical Counseling where I facilitated groups and counseled individuals and couples.
I express my teaching gifts through my work as an adjunct professor with Dallas Baptist University where I teach psychology and sociology classes. I also lead seminars for laypersons, church leaders, and other professionals, on topics such as sexual addiction, gender identity and sexual orientation, particularly same sex attraction.
I am a professional member of EXODUS International, the Christian Association for Psychological Studies, and the International Association for Theophostic Ministry. I received my Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Grace Theological Seminary under the direction of Doctors Larry Crabb and Dan Allender. I received my Master of Science in Psychological Sciences from the University of Texas, Dallas.
